Windows 777
Now that I have had sufficient time to enjoy my Windows 7 tote bag, I feel that I am emotionally capable of giving an unbiased, thorough review of Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 7(77), hereon “Windows 777.”
As the name implies, Windows 777 is a very lucky operating system. As empirical data show, Windows 777 is fast on its way to becoming the world’s most widely used operating system. This is of course due to the massive amounts of luck it has; Mac and Linux can hardly say the same, after all. I’m sure that no certified market analyst could have predicted how successful Windows 777 would be.
Now, I installed Windows 777 over a week ago, and I must say I am disappointed with it. My greatest concern is with its graphics, particularly its use of gradients. One side of the item on screen is one color, but once to get to the other end, that color has changed into another color or completely disappeared! How am I supposed to know what color something really is supposed to be if it keeps changing? In addition to that, I didn’t pay for color to be missing; I want full, solid colors for my money and not 30% of a color with 70% gone, showing the background.
But enough of what is on the surface; let’s move on to what runs all of this, Direct X 11. Personally, I would have thought that by the time they got to Direct X 4 or so, they would have straightened out all the issues, and would have run out of major things to add by the time they got to like version 6. Evidently not, as here we are with Direct X 11. Not only that, but you need one of those fancy new Direct X 11 video cards to use it. These guys need to take a hint from everyone else. Hardware upgrades to fix software problems are so pre-object orientation.
My next complaint is the massive amounts of RAM this OS uses up. I actually had to buy all new hardware in order to be able to put enough RAM on my motherboard to run Windows 777. What happened to the good old days when efficiency was a virtue and you only needed 16MB of RAM to run everything you wanted because everything was so efficient?
But not everything was bad. There were a few things I enjoyed, such as the YouTube application. I found that by typing “www.youtube.com” into the top bar of the Internet Explorer program, I was able to access this application. I was amazed at how many videos came with Windows 777, although Windows 777 loaded some of the videos very slowly. You’d think that all that RAM was going to something useful, but apparently. not.
All in all, I enjoyed my Windows 777 tote bag very much. It has a lot of utility and looks very nice. I plan on buying one for all my friends so they too can enjoy the amazing Windows 777 tote bag.
